Peran Otoritas Kiai dalam Membangun Keluarga Sakinah di Masyarakat Ngawi

Abstract

Sakinah as one of the cultures born in the midst of social dynamics has two dimensions simultaneously: objective and subjective. Society as an instrument in creating objective reality, constantly building sakinah objectivity through the process of externalization. At the same time, the process also affects their subjective awareness through moments of internalization. Sakinah as culture in society is a concept that is being formed; it is not a final cultural reality. The future of sakinah family construction will always depend on the dialectical process performed by its forming instruments (kiai and community). The dialectical process in the construction of reality manifests in three moments: externalization, objectification, and internalization. The majority of Kiai consider that the example of the sakinah family represented by the kiai will have a stronger impact than da'wah through rhetoric which is usually easily forgotten; no trace. The argument conveyed by kiai usually refers to the oral philosophy of lisan al-hal afs}ah} min lisan al-maq. Exemplary like this for them is a mandate imposed by Allah. Kiai (or commonly called ulama) who are structurally the heirs of the prophet are indeed very worthy to carry out and inherit the task of the prophet: to be uswah hasanah. H}ujjah-h}ujjah pilgrimage like this which motivates them to be the vanguard as well as uswah to ground sakinah in family institutions. Kiai together with the community creates a product of the concept of sakinah that goes on continuously, as long as the externalization is still ongoing. At this moment stage the kiai and the community imagined that the concept of sakinah was truly a reality outside of him. The tips in building a sakinah family seem to have been separated from the community, even the clerics. The sakinah values described by the family as a respectful family order, understanding the roles and responsibilities in the family, promoting deliberation, and resolving family conflicts with win-win solutions have indeed become objective facts.
